Zambrero opens at Barossa Central

Zambrero opened to a very warm welcome at Barossa Central on Friday December 22nd, 2023.

Zambrero, Australia’s largest Mexican restaurant franchise, has opened its doors at Barossa Central, bringing their delicious and healthy options to the heart of the Barossa Valley.

“Zambrero is not your typical fast-food joint, our premium meat is slow-cooked, and our guacamole and salsas are made fresh in the restaurant daily. Plus, every time you buy a burrito, bowl, kids Zam Box or sweet treat, we donate a meal to someone in need through our Plate 4 Plate initiative. That’s why we call it Feel Good Mex.” Sam Wolf, Zambrero Marketing Coordinator said.

More than 70 million meals around the world have been donated through the Plate 4 Plate initiative since Zambrero was founded in 2005.

“With over 270 restaurants across Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, and the US, we are growing fast, but we will always take pride in being a locally owned and operated franchise that is committed to serving the local community.”

Zambrero opened at Barossa Central on Friday 22nd December, greeted by hundreds of hungry customers waiting to try their range of burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas.

“Nuriootpa, with its thriving and growing community, provides the perfect setting for our restaurant. We want to be a part of this local hub, engaging with the vibrant local community and catering to the needs of both residents and tourists exploring the beautiful Barossa Valley. As a popular destination for visitors, Nuriootpa aligns perfectly with our vision to bring people together through a shared love for delicious, healthy food”

“We are excited to welcome Zambrero, the Barossa Valley’s first Mexican food offer to Barossa Central Shopping Centre. The charitable ‘Plate 4 Plate’ program together with the delicious, healthy Mexican food options available, compliments the extensive retail offering within our community owned shopping precinct”, Cathy Main, CEO, Barossa Co-op said.

Zambrero is open from 10am-9pm, 7 days a week at Shop 9/1 Murray Street, Nuriootpa.
